Crystalline Glazes Workshop in my studio 23 to 26 january 2023

WORKSHOP IN MY STUDIO IN ALBONS- SPAIN    FROM 23 TO 26 JANUARY 2023 –  400 Euros 

This is an intensive  workshop  of glazing and understanding the technique of Crystalline glazes.  Include materials.

During the workshop there will be instruction in glazes preparation, aplication of the glaze, oxidation, reduction and post reduction firings information and so on.

On this days you will be given a thorough introduction to the techniques that José Mariscal  uses  with a focus on efficiency and  precision to be able to get the best results in Crystalline glazes. The workshop is hands-on where you will be practicing the techniques under the guidance and supervision from José.   He will also be giving many demos throughout the workshop.

Of course most of the recipes of José Mariscal glazes will be shared during the workshop.

There is not enough time during the workshop to finish many pieces but José will provide 2 pieces per person to glaze during the workshop. If there are place in the kiln and  there is a piece you would like to keep, you can also glaze it  for an additional price, and it can be picked up or shipped when it’s finished.

We can provide loadging for the attendees in a shared appartments near the studio for an additional price of 165 euros x person in a single room or  125 euros x person in a double room ( 3 nights/4 days)

What is the price ? What is included in the price? 

TOTAL AMOUNT OF 400 EUROS.

The lessons and the materials are included.  On monday we start at 15.h and we finish at 18:30.

Tuesday and Wednesday we start at 9.00 to 13 h with a coffée break and we strat again at 15 to 17,30

On Thursday we open the kiln and we study the results of the last firing. Usually we start at 9 and finish maximum at 13h.

Are the courses for beginners or for more advanced students?

The courses are for both. You can learn the basics of pottery or perfectionize your ceramic skills.

When do I have to pay?

To do the enrolment you must pay 200 euros.

The remaining amount ( 200 euros more ) can be transferred 1 month  before the start of the course. You can also pay in cash on arrival.

Can I bring my children?

No, our courses are reserved for adults. However, if you are on holiday with your partner and children, there is a nice campsite nearby.

My partner is not taking part at the course but would like to stay in the appartmentsa. Is that possible?

Yes, that is possible. You then pay a supplement for the stay (accommodation).

What is the maximum number of participants?

In general, twelve. It depends a bit on the course.
