WORKSHOP IN MY STUDIO IN ALBONS- SPAIN FROM 20 TO 23 JANUARY 2025- 485 Euros
This is an intensive workshop of glazing and understanding the technique of Crystalline glazes. Include materials.
During the workshop there will be instruction in glazes preparation, aplication of the glaze, oxidation, reduction and post reduction firings information and so on.
On this days you will be given a thorough introduction to the techniques that José Mariscal uses with a focus on efficiency and precision to be able to get the best results in Crystalline glazes. The workshop is hands-on where you will be practicing the techniques under the guidance and supervision from José. He will also be giving many demos throughout the workshop.
Of course most of the recipes of José Mariscal glazes will be shared during the workshop.
There is not enough time during the workshop to finish many pieces but José will provide 1 piece per person to glaze during the workshop. If there are place in the kiln and there is a piece you would like to keep, you can also glaze it for an additional price, and it can be picked up or shipped when it’s finished.
We can provide loadging for the attendees in a shared appartments near the studio for an additional price of 175 euros x person in a single room ( 3 nights/4 days)

What is the price ? What is included in the price?
TOTAL AMOUNT OF 485 EUROS.
The lessons and the materials are included. On monday we start at 15.h and we finish at 18:30.
Tuesday and Wednesday we start at 9.00 to 13 h with a coffée break and we strat again at 15 to 17,00
On Thrusday we open the kiln and we study the results of the last firing. Usually we start at 9 and finish maximum at 13h.
Are the courses for beginners or for more advanced students?
The courses are for both. You can learn the basics of pottery or perfectionize your ceramic skills.
When do I have to pay?
To do the enrolment you must pay 235 euros.
The remaining amount ( 250 euros more ) can be transferred 1 month before the start of the course. You can also pay in cash on arrival.
Can I bring my children?
No, our courses are reserved for adults. However, if you are on holiday with your partner and children, you can rent a full appartment for you. If you are interested just let us know.
My partner is not taking part at the course but would like to stay in the appartments. Is that possible?
Yes, that is possible. You then pay a supplement for the stay (accommodation).
What is the maximum number of participants?
In general, twelve. It depends a bit on the course.
Can I be picked up from the train station?
We are happy to pick you up from the station Figueres Vilafant ( AVE Station- Fast Train ) Just let us know which train you will be taking. We usually organize a pick up on the first day of the workshop at 14:30 h, to be able to arrive in time for the workshop. We can also help you to go to the Train Station on Thrusday at 15h. after the workshop.
Which airport is the nearest?
Girona . From there you can rent a car or a taxi to the train/bus station. There are bus service from Girona to Albons. From Barcelona airport we suggest just rent a car or travel by train to Figueres Vilafant Station.
A deposit is required at registration. After submitting the registration form, you may proceed with the payment on-line.
Cancellations
You may withdraw within 14 days of registration without incurring in any penalties and will have the deposit fully refunded. No refund of deposits past 14 days of registration,
